Taiyaki with Lemony White Beanpaste
Servings: 10 fish
  • 175 grams all purpose flour
  • 7 grams baking soda
  • 225 ml ice cold water
  • 300 grams white beans paste
  • 1 lemon juice
  • 10 grams lemon zest
  1. In a mixing bowl, add flour, baking soda, and water. Mix all well until smooth.

  2. In another bowl, add white bean paste, lemon zest, and juice and mixl well too.

  3. Start heating a taiyaki pan with lower medium heat.

  4. Add around 1 tbsp of batter, spread it thinly, add 1.5 tbsp of paste.

  5. Add another 1tbsp of batter on the top of fish cover all the paste, then close the lid. Flip.

  6. Keep cooking another 3 minutes. When slightly brown both sides, ready to serve.
